WHAT TO BRING
ABRIDGED PACKING LIST
- Modest clothing for nine days; shorts & pants, sports clothing, t-shirts, long sleeves for sun protection, socks, undergarments
- Layered clothing — jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies. The temperature can fluctuate in the desert from 73' to 99' F (23' to 37' C).
- Flip flops or sandals and walking/hiking shoes
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Journal — for reflection and covenant making
- Your favorite Bible
- Personal products (feminine hygiene, medication, etc)
- Deodorant, toothbrush & toothpaste
- Sunscreen (if you use it)
- Water bottle
- Travel or camping pillow
- Dramamine (if you need it, for crossing the Atlas Mountains)

You will need to check out separately and use a different email for each participant.
We are not accepting solo teens on this trip but young adults ages 18+ are welcome to join.
There may be on optional departure available on the evening of October 3rd, but the group departure will be the morning of October 4th where we will travel to M'hamid, arriving around noon, and from there you can continue with the transportation you arrange.
Our family has a unique and diverse faith journey and are each in a different place.
I, Rachel, the mother and wife, believe that the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy Word of God and the foundation of all Truth. I believe in one eternal Most High God, the Creator of all things, who has revealed Himself through His Son, Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah, whose perfect life, sacrificial death, bodily resurrection, and future return (which is coming soon) provide the ONLY hope of salvation for humanity. I believe that salvation is the gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ, but IF we love Him, we will keep His commandments, which produces repentance, obedience to the Law, and a life transformed by the Holy Spirit. I believe that followers of Christ are called to love God, love others, and faithfully live according to God's commandments and statutes. We are committed to strengthening marriages, equipping parents to disciple their children, and helping families build their lives upon the truth of Scripture for the glory of God.
Children of ALL ages are allowed. We once brought our six-week-old baby on this trip. We will be bringing our children ages 9, 12, 16, 19, 21, and 22.

We generally use Travelex Insurance. It is usually only $30-$40 per person for the policy that meets the medical requirements (that does not include travel cost reimbursement).
