Today, we've established a family home and Christian community hub in Southern Portugal, just outside Lagos.

Our Christian Family Study Abroad Program is more than a vacation—it's a Bible-centered experience where families strengthen their faith, create lifelong memories, and discover God's creation together.

Each week combines Scripture study, family discipleship, authentic community, and hands-on learning with unforgettable adventures throughout Southern Portugal.

From surfing the Atlantic and hiking the dramatic Algarve cliffs to exploring historic villages and sharing meals with other Christian families, every experience is designed to help your family grow closer to God and one another.

What's Available in Our Christian Family Study Abroad Program?

  • Share community spaces while still enjoying your own private living areas.
  • Participate as much or as little as you'd like—every family has different needs, and those needs may change from week to week.
  • Share weekly meals and enjoy a variety of international cuisine. (Optional)
  • Have your children and teens build friendships through regular activities and time together.
  • Share learning experiences and educational activities together in a worldschooling-style co-op.
  • Participate in Portuguese language lessons. (Optional, additional cost)
  • Join optional weekly Bible studies and discussions with other families.
  • Help feed the animals on the property. (Optional)
  • Pitch in with farm projects and hands-on chores on our 13-acre property—gardening, building, painting, caring for animals, and more. (Optional)
  • Spend time at the beach or enjoy paddleboarding.
  • Explore the breathtaking cliffs, caves, and coastline of the Algarve.
  • Take surf lessons along Portugal's stunning coastline. (Optional, additional cost)

We've been traveling the world as a family for the past 18 years to nearly 60 countries on five continents.

We have a passion for adventure, learning, and connection.

We've also dreamed of having a home base and a place to connect with other like-minded families and friends.

That's why we created the World School Family Resort.

It's a villa on 15 acres with space to learn, raise animals, connect, and share.

UPPER FLOOR APARTMENT FOR FAMILIES

This apartment is on the third floor and has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, one en suite. There is not yet a living room or dining area, nor a kitchen.

You will have access to a shared kitchen, living and dining area on the second level, and/or a commercial kitchen on the ground level.

It sleeps up to 7 people in a king, two queens, and one single.

BALCONY APARTMENT

This apartment is our family's home.

It is ONLY available in SOME months when we are traveling and accepting pet sitters.

It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en suite), and a private kitchen and balcony.
